Five Spring Break Vacations That Won’t Break Your Bank!

Estimated Read Time 2 minutes

The number one thing to remember when making Spring Break plans is to PLAN EARLY. This allows you to shop around for the best deals so that all you and your friends have to worry about is having fun. Remember to browse different sites to check for the lowest prices for airfare, hotels, and car rentals.  Sites like STATravel are really useful in gaging what you are going to be paying whether you decide to travel domestically or internationally.

Here are five destinations to consider when you are on a limited budget:

South Padre Island is a perfect destination if you desire white sandy beaches in a small town setting.  If you book at the right time, you can get a 2-3 night stay at a decent hotel for less than 500 bucks, all while enjoying all the comforts being on an Island. Plus- you don’t need to rent a car as most attractions can be accessed by foot! All you need to worry about is food and fun! Sites like http://book.studentcity.com/ have great deals right now on one week packages.

Biloxi, Mississippi is a wonderful place to visit if you want a nice, calm, southern retreat for your spring break. The months between November and April are the city’s off season, so spring break is the perfect time to visit. If you are in the mood for some great seafood, this is the place to be! Plus, there are tons of casinos for you to try your luck. Depending on the level of luxury you are seeking- your entire trip could range from 400-1200 dollars for the whole week. I’ve priced a couple of sites that have a 3-night stay at the Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel and Spa at about 700- which is not bad considering the amenities!

The Dominican Republic offers a wonderful spring break experience for all. For about 1200 per person, you can stay at an all-inclusive resort on the Caribbean Island. Santo Domingo is the capital of the Dominican Republic and is filled with rich history that is just asking to be explored. Bring your dance shoes- as you’ll want to try out the salsa or merengue at a local club.

Nautical by Nature? Try a cruise this spring break. For just under a grand, you and your friends can take a 4 day cruise to the Grand Bahamas. See the world from the Sea- an experience you are sure to remember. Although recently, cruises have gotten a bad name, they are still a good way to relax and enjoy the world. They’re also a good tool for meeting new people. Try something new, go on a cruise!

Its spring break, so why not go to paradise?  Right now, you can get a 3 night stay in Honolulu, HI round-trip airfare included, for about $1,300 total. That’s an incredible steal for this tropical paradise. You’ve already heard about Hawaii’s gorgeous views and wonderful mountains.  You already know about the TONS of activities that are available on the island. What are you waiting for? Make your reservation!
